Back in the late 90’s, the Saturday morning lineup on PBS was all cooking shows, I’d wake up, brew some coffee and climb back into bed to watch every one. My favorite was Baking with Julia. It was baking that first brought me into the kitchen!
I veered away from baking at culinary school and chose the professional chef’s program instead. But life had other plans for me and I returned to baking very soon after graduation.
In 2009 I bought Soufflés in Newburyport, MA. The following year our baker moved away and I could not find another that met my standards. So I reluctantly became the baker— and it soon grew to be my favorite part of owning Soufflés!
The creative outlet that baking provides me, along with the positive feedback from the community, were so gratifying that I decided to pursue baking full-time. That’s why I started Goose Chase Baking Co.
